Comments: A gritty western classic that does a splendid job of demonstrating how the greatest rewards can come from buildup and anticipation, rather than from the showdown or the finale itself. For better or for worse, this is not something you see too often with current day movies, and I found it to be quite effective and rewarding.

Interesting. I have never seen this one. Definitely a classic. I think it's an AFI top 10 even. That reminds me. Whatever happened to my idea of watching all 100 AFI 100's ?
