Straw Dogs (1971)

Comments: A fairly good and original storyline and pretty decent acting. Although it is somewhat tame by today's standard, I can certainly understand the controversy it caused in 1971.

War Horse

Comments: This one felt a little drawn out and centered on a tired theme. It certainly has it's good moments, but was disappointing overall.

Hugo

Comments: Although it didn't quite live up to the high hopes I had, it was still very entertaining and terrific from a visual standpoint. Worth seeing for sure, but don't get too excited..

Comments: A worthy psychological drama with some historical relevance. The interactions between Jung and Freud, and Keira Knightley's performance were especially strong. .

Comments: A subtly sad and touching story. The superb acting and great directing and cast selection by So Yong Kim.made it feel more like a documentary than a scripted movie.

Comments: This one has just about everything you could ask for in a spy thriller. It may even be the best of that genre that I've seen. The whole cast was great and Gary Oldman was even better.

The Muppets (2011)

Rating: 7.5

Comments: This one holds up well to the best of the prior Muppets movies and even the show itself. It was great see all the old characters even if their original voice (may Jim Henson RIP). While the story itself was not particularly memorable it was a lot fun and there was very little to disappoint.
